We’re thrilled to share that Bravo Bravo Que, the barbecue sauce brand owned by Veterans Community Project, has been recognized on the global stage. Our Vinnie’s Spicy Sauce flavor was awarded No. 3 in the vinegar-based category at the prestigious 2025 American Royal World Series of Barbecue.

Crafted in collaboration with barbecue expert and sauce designer Rick Moore, Vinnie’s Spicy Sauce delivers a bold tang of gritty vinegar followed by a lingering bite of black pepper and jalapeño. It’s a flavor especially tailored to elevate pork dishes.

“We spent around six months making this sauce—it’s not rocket science, but it takes time,” said Moore. “We started with a classic Kansas City or St. Louis tomato style and added just enough vinegar to give it a boost. From there, trying it on pulled pork is always the big test for vinegar sauces. And this one really makes it pop.”

Moore and Veterans Community Project launched Bravo Bravo Que in 2020 with the goal of creating a world-class barbecue sauce that directly helps fix Veteran homelessness.

Since then, the sauce line has sold more than 10,000 bottles nationwide—with 100% of proceeds going toward our work building transitional housing and delivering wraparound support for at-risk and in-crisis Veterans.
